Joanne Bayer, Nourish@Home
Growing up in a family of eleven provided Joanne with daily experiences in the kitchen. Her mom had a wonderful sense of adventure, discovery and creativity which came through in her cooking. She absorbed not only the nutrition and bonding of family meals shared together, but her knowledge of meal preparation from Farmers’ Market to table. Her mother’s time in the kitchen played a tremendous role in Joanne’s upbringing. The nightly dinners would be considered in today’s standards, as throwing a small party. In addition, her mother hosted countless work related parties for her dad, an attorney, plus enjoyed entertaining neighbors, friends and our huge extended family. It took many helping hands and Joanne along with her siblings were all a part of the preparation, serving and cleanup.
Joanne has always been interested in cooking because of the laughter and sharing that occurred around her table growing up. She was a premed major at Miami University, and graduated with a degree in Zoology. Joanne is fascinated by the structure and function of the human body. Her life as an athlete stimulated her desire to understand more fully the process of food intake and its conversion to energy, muscle and other needs for our body. Joanne completed her Master’s degree at Xavier University in secondary education. She taught various levels of biology and chemistry to junior high students for ten years while preparing, experimenting and cooking gourmet meals for friends. Joanne and her husband recently have moved back to her family home in Kenwood with their four children. Joanne is once again cooking and bonding in the same kitchen that holds such fond memories with her own children and friends. For the past five years she has worked at La Petite Pierre, catering weddings and events throughout the Cincinnati area. Each item served was a masterpiece of the freshest ingredients and combination of flavors. Joanne loves spending time with my family and friends most of which revolves around the kitchen and a good meal. She enjoys walking, reading, traveling, and she is always working on a project whether it is decorating a room, redoing a piece of furniture or experimenting with recipes in the kitchen.
Kelli Crapsey, Nourish@Home
Her love of cooking, pursuit of creative outlets and desire to help others live simply make Kelli a perfect fit in our Nourish team. A graduate of The University of Cincinnati with a background in design, she also earned a Business degree in Marketing and Management, which has allowed her to express her creativity in many forums ranging from public relations to event planning to various volunteer positions.
While her professional career took her down the business track, her true passion came from her love of food! From an early age she could be found expirementing in the kitchen, perfecting her baked goods and expanding her culinary horizon – which is still her favorite pastime today! A strong desire to learn and create has made her kitchen home to many wonderful meals for family and friends and a welcome resource for others looking for inspiration with cooking and event planning.
Kelli and her husband live in Madeira with their four children. An avid gardner, Kelli has taught her children the joy and wonder of cultivating their own backyard garden and an appreciation of where their food comes from and how it impacts their health. She believes that one of the true joys of cooking and eating comes from finding the freshest ingredients and learning to prepare them in wholesome ways. In addition to raising her family, she enjoys her time renovating their century-old home, taking long walks, traveling, digging in the garden and entertaining.
Merret Collister, Nourish@Home
Growing up in the suburbs of Chicago, Merret’s parents exposed her to the city’s many different cultures and foods. From a young age, she was also active in the kitchen with her mother, Karen, an accomplished cook. While singing with the renowned Glen Ellyn Children’s Choir (now Anima) as a teen, Merret had the chance to travel extensively, and to experience a host of new foods and flavors. She graduated from Ohio University with a degree in Education, and moved to Cincinnati where she taught at-risk children in Cincinnati Public Schools for 10 years. After the birth of her first child, Merret chose to be a full time mom, but she found herself always making big pots of soup and “feeding the neighborhood” as her husband would joke. Now with her two children in school, she’s channeled her passions for cooking and caring for others into her dream job with Nourish! Merret lives with her husband and two children in Mariemont, where she also operates a private floral design company, Merigolds.
Darla Higgins, Nourish@Home
Darla has always enjoyed cooking and baking. As a child, she remembers helping her mom in the kitchen so she could sample the food while cooking and get out of doing the dishes! She loves to try new recipes and is not above trying these new recipes on friends and family.
Before having children, Darla used her degree in Computer Science doing computer training and support. After 16 years home raising 4 daughters, she has decided to re-enter the work force doing something she loves – cooking.
Darla and her husband live in Liberty Township with their four daughters.
Diane McGeeney, Nourish@Home
Diane’s earliest and fondest memories come from the smells, sights and sounds of the kitchen, whether in her grandparents’ house or her own. While putting herself through college, Diane spent ten years in the restaurant business as a waitress, bartender, hostess, bookkeeper and prep cook. While her degree is in Education, her passion is for good food!
Diane and her husband live in Loveland with their three children. Most recently, she spent two years baking for a local coffee shop and for friends and family on the side. She has also privately catered lunch and dinner parties for up to 50 people. Through these ventures, she has enjoyed having the freedom both to do the work she loves and to attend her children’s many sporting events.
Diane spends the majority of her free time in the kitchen as well, experimenting with new recipes and finding healthy foods that taste wonderful and satisfying for her own family. Even with their busy schedules she believes it is important to sit down to a meal together every night. In fact, sometimes they eat after 8pm just to make that work; it’s their blessed time to talk with one another, share the stories of their day and stay connected. Food has always brought Diane’s family together, so dinnertime is a time they all look forward to, and one she cherishes. She’s happy to help create that opportunity for other families through Nourish@Home.

Anne Nyktas, R. D., Health Coach
Ann is a Registered Dietician with 23 years of health coaching and education experience. Drawn to biology and anatomy and physiology classes in high school and college, Anne knew she wanted to pursue a career in one of the “helping professions.” In her second year of college, she became particularly interested in food and how it related to health and wellness. After obtaining her B.S. in Nutrition at the University of Cincinnati in1990 and completing her dietetic internship at The Christ Hospital in 1991, she knew she wanted to work in a setting where she could provide counseling to individuals in a community center or outpatient clinic. Throughout her 23 years of experience, she has provided nutrition education to individuals and held group classes on cholesterol and weight management, diabetes and various therapeutic diets. She has additional experience as a study coordinator in research and has completed an extensive health coaching program. More recently, she obtained certification as a Jazzercise instructor (after being a Jazzercise student for 22 years) incorporating her love of dancing and fitness. She teaches classes weekly in Anderson.
As there is no “one size fits all” approach to improving overall health and wellness, Anne has a passion for assisting individuals in exploring and discovering ways to incorporate healthy foods, exercise and wellness strategies into their daily lives utilizing their personal strengths to make decisions that are best for them. She has always liked the phrase flight attendants give when reviewing procedures before takeoff, “Should a change in cabin pressure occur, the oxygen masks will lower. Place the mask over your nose and mouth FIRST, and then attend to those around you.” In other words, you need to take care of yourself first before you can effectively help others.
Anne’s favorite sports or leisure time activities include cooking (especially trying new recipes), Jazzercise, Pilates Reformer Training, gardening and listening to music. She lives in Anderson with her husband and 11-year-old daughter and has a 20 year old son enrolled in the DAAP program at the University of Cincinnati.
Tammy Robinson, Health Coach
Tammy is a certified Health Coach with a degree from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York City. She also holds a BSBA in Marketing from Bowling Green State University. She currently lives in Lebanon, OH, with her two young daughters who have inspired her to pursue her true passion, helping other lead better lives through improved health and nutrition.
Tammy was led to this work after the birth of her second child when she experienced several health issues. At that time, she was moved to actively research the role that food plays in our health and well-being. With her own new understanding came a desire to teach others that we can ultimately determine our own health and happiness if we just take the time to nourish ourselves.
As a mom, Tammy can relate to the fact that most women tend to put their families first and themselves last. But who can really be the best mom, wife, daughter, friend, or employee if she feels run down, tired, cranky, and barely able to drag herself out of bed in the morning? Women deserve to wake up ready to take on the day with energy and enthusiasm! (In fact, men deserve to feel this way too!) Tammy is excited to be doing work that helps others live their best lives.
In her free time, Tammy enjoys reading, water sports, tennis, softball, and playing with her girls and their dogs. She looks forward to helping you become NOURISHED!
Ann Young, C.H.H.C., Health Coach
Ann is a Certified Health Coach with a degree from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York City. She also holds a B.S. from Kent State University in Nursing. Pursuant to entering the world of business, she later returned to school and obtained her BBA. A native of Cleveland Ohio, she resides in Cincinnati with her husband.
Prior to becoming a health coach, Ann spent nearly 25 years working in the managed care and health insurance industry in executive sales and marketing roles. She spent the last eight years of her corporate career as Chief Sales and Marketing Officer for the largest regional dental insurance company. Through her own experiences, Ann all too well realized that ambitions and goals tend to drive one’s own self- care to the bottom of the list. She understands firsthand the demands and pressures that come with working in a fast paced environment, and knows what it takes for her clients to gradually integrate healthy diet and preventive health practices into their intense daily lives.
Ann is motivated by the fact that food disease is the #1 cause of preventable death in America. Her journey to a health coaching career began 10 years ago when, over a short period of nine months, she lost her father to a rare and deadly cancer. Through much research, she believes that nutrition played a role in the development of that cancer. Ann feels strongly that there’s a lot of misinformation fed to Americans about food, and in the past has experienced many frustrations herself. Through her studies and research, she is passionately committed to helping people gain the knowledge, confidence and consistency needed to attain real and lasting health results!

She is able to find creative solutions to keep fitness a priority despite these challenges, just as she’s successfully done in her own life. Whether you are looking to gently begin an exercise routine or are yearning to take your fitness to the next level, Ana will customize a program just for you.
Ana role models a healthy lifestyle and mixes up her own workouts to include running, power yoga, spinning, Pilates, boot camp and body sculpt classes. She’d be delighted to be a part of your journey to improved wellness by helping you learn to move in the way that most energizes you!
