What geography do you service?

Our service is currently available in the Greater Cincinnati area. Beginning in July 2013, we will be opening a second location in Northwest Arkansas!

What does the weekly fee cover?

The fee covers the cost of the cook’s time…menu planning and adjusting, travel, shopping, cooking and cleanup. Ingredients used are billed separately.

How much do ingredients usually cost?

The cost varies based on size of household, your organic vs. conventional preferences, and the specific menu choices you select, but for a family of four it’s usually under $90.

Where do you buy the food?

Your groceries will come from local grocery stores as well as Whole Foods or Fresh Market when convenient to your home address.

Is the food you use organic?

We can buy as much as possible in organics if you prefer. Normally, we use a mix of organic and conventional.

How much food do I get?

Clients generally find they can get at least 5 dinners and some lunches out of the amount of food we leave.

I have a big family; will there be enough food?

We’ll gladly adjust the amount of food we make specifically for your family, so yes!  Our standard service includes up to 4 adult sized portions of each dish (8 for the soup/casserole); there is a $15 incremental fee per dish if you’d like us to double any menu selection.

There’s just one of me (or two of us) ; will there be too much food?!

For a party of one (or two) we can scale back the amount of food so we don’t overwhelm you or your refrigerator! For our smaller households, we general prepare one serving per person of each dish to eat the week we cook and then help you freeze the rest for later, but we can adjust based on your preferences!

How long with the food stay fresh?

The food we cook should generally be consumed within the week it’s prepared. If you want to save some of your food to eat later than that, you’ll need to freeze portions so that they don’t spoil.

Can I alter the menus?

Using our menu as a jumping off point, you are welcome to request that we omit certain ingredients, add others, or make substitutions. That said this service is menu-based so we don’t create custom plans for each client.

Can you accommodate special diets, food allergies and food intolerances?

We are happy to discuss any specific needs with you. We routinely accommodate gluten free and dairy free diets as well as vegetarian diets. We can accommodate many food allergies as well. If you have a specific need, please call us to discuss it before booking a cook date so that we can makes sure we’re very clear about your restrictions.

Do I have to use the service every week?

Not if you don’t want to! We offer subscriber discounts for our weekly, biweekly and monthly users, but we do have a la carte pricing for clients who only want to use the service occasionally.

Can I do a “mini week” and just get a few meals?

Of course, but be aware that our minimum service fee is still $199.

Do I need to be at home while you are cooking?

No! As long as someone can let us in or we make arrangements to get a key or a code to your home in advance, you won’t need to be there.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Visa, MasterCard, and Discover are our preferred cards.

How does the billing work?

We’ll collect your credit card information once and then automatically bill you for the service fee + cost of ingredients after each cook date. We’ll then email you a paid invoice with the charges. If you’d prefer to make other arrangements, just ask us and we’ll do our best to meet your need.

Can I buy a gift certificate for someone?

Absolutely! Gift certificates are available and they make great baby gifts, wedding gifts, gifts for someone who is ill or recovering from surgery, Mothers Day gifts, and of course birthday or holiday gifts! Just call us at 513-245-4224 x2 and we’ll help you get your gift certificate.

Of course we do! If someone subscribes to Nourish@Home (weekly, biweekly or monthly) and tells us you sent them, we’ll credit $25 toward your next cook date!
